Three months in one post

It seems I'm really not good with this time-management thing - unfortunately.I had all the right reasons and best intentions but alas those weren't enough to make me stick to my "resolution/wish" to post at least one project a month. The only way I can make up for it is to post all the finished projects at once!

So...there was a birthday project, a couple of Valentine's and a couple of baby projects for me from January till now.

The best friend of my little daughter (and when I say best friend I mean they are joined by the hip!) celebrated her 13th birthday. I made her a word-art card using my Cameo and a cupcake box from Svgcuts' Happy Birthday kit. I used First Edition's  Bella Rose Premium Paper Pad cos they have the sturdiest patterned paper. The top layer was pop-dotted on the card base (on three sides of the base the word-art shaped the card.)

Then Valentine's day came and my girls needed a card and something to hold a "Kiss" chocolate bar. Theword-artcard was a big hit so we made it more guy-likable with just colors on black cardstock. Svgcuts came to the rescue again with the Cracker file from the Sweets for my Sweet kit!

Valentine's day isn't only for the young though so I made a "book" (it's my new obsession) for my hubby, to hold our keepsakes from back then...

The file was from the Silhouette online store, the artist Snapdragon Snippet. I've made the same book many times with other embellishments on the cover. The only thing I modified is the closure by adding magnets for ease of use. I stamped the swirls on an otherwise plain faded pink paper, used Prima distress tool on the corrugated paper and Liquid Pearls on the hearts. The book tells our story - and it's not over yet, there will be more memories and keepsake to collect.

I am at an age where all my friends and family have already had their babies so we don't have exciting news of parents-to-be very often. That's why I was so happy to learn that my daughter's dance teacher was expecting! While creating baby stuff you can't help but smile the whole time. It made me so happy, I wanted to involve the girls in class, make them happy too. (It's a given that the mom-to-be is happy!) So, I rolled up bits of paper like scroll and gave them to the girls to write down well-wishes or little drawings...whatever they wanted to give their teacher. To contain all the little scrolls I made Svgcuts' Baby bottle from the Tiny Miracle kit. Used Authentique paper collection "Original" (that paper pack has the coolest jeans patterns!)

And then I didn't want to stop with the baby stuff! lol I recently purchased some baby themed files from the Silhouette Online Store and wanted to play so I made an invitation and a treat box with little baby feet! It's so adorable I can't even... These don't have a recipient (yet) but I had the best time creating so they served their purpose.

So, you see, I was busy creating/playing I'm just rubbish with the posting stuff. I'll make a definite effort to be better. I promise.

Thank You for visiting. Hope You come back next month to check out if I kept my promise! :)

Have a great day!
